Safety & Guidance
How do we handle challenging behaviors?
Our approach to guidance and conflict resolution is rooted in empathy, understanding, and positivity. By focusing on the child's individual stage of development and addressing their needs and emotions where they are at, you create a supportive environment that fosters emotional intelligence and social skills. We encourage children to identify their feelings, express their problems verbally when they can and provide support in finding a resolution that not only helps in immediate conflict but also equips them with lifelong skills to navigate social interactions.
Our emphasis on guiding children through redirection, towards positive experiences demonstrates a proactive and constructive way of handling conflicts. By teaching children to understand the impact of their actions and how they affect others, we promote empathy and consideration, essential qualities for healthy social relationships.
Approaching guidance in this manner not only resolves conflicts effectively but also contributes significantly to the child's overall personal and social growth. It creates a positive and nurturing atmosphere where children can learn, grow, and develop essential life skills that will serve them well into adulthood.
Safety & Child security? Is my child safe at school?
It is our number one priority to create a safe environment for every child. We are proud to say that our Lead Teachers hold their Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. We practice school wide drills that include fire, tornado, evacuation drills as well as active shooter training drills monthly. Our school is well stocked with food, water, and other emergency supplies. Before entering the childcare, all parents/guardians/ visitors must check in. We utilize an electronic keypad to enter the facility and doors remain locked throughout the day. Children are only released to their parents or anyone pre-authorized with identification. We check logs and facilities to ensure all children have been picked up at the end of each day.
Our StaffHow qualified are your preschool teachers?
The Giggling Tree Academy hires staff that has been hand selected by the owner with qualifications and personality traits that are conducive to a positive learning environment. This isn't just a job for our candidates, when we hire we ask for a commitment to success of 1 year, this allows for child attachment and security in knowing who is caring for your child. Our teachers are committed early educators, who not only meet but also surpass all the state's licensing prerequisites. They have fulfilled the necessary early childhood education credentialing and training criteria and have undergone the state's rigorous background check procedure. Each year they take classes to continue their own education as well as to give the very best to the kids. Additionally, we provide certified classroom aides for additional support."

Family Involvement
- What does family engagement look like at The Giggling Tree? We provide a variety of ways families are included in our program, but most importantly we believe in making the effort to familiarize ourselves with each family and maintaining open lines of communication. For this reason we invite parents to partner with us for their child's education. We offer opportunities to come into the classroom, become apart of your child’s experience, but if time doesn't allow, as most parents are busy, we keep lines of communication open through daily reports, pictures, videos, text ect. We also like to host several events throughout the year such as summer bbq’s, back to school night, holiday celebrations, open houses, new parent orientations, a visit from santa, ect. We appreciate and strongly encourage your engagement at events during the school year. You can also get involved by participating with field-trips, going to class potlucks, sharing a story or circle time for your child’s birthday, or staying informed with the current events at the school. You are always welcome at the The Giggling Tree Academy!
- What is included in the fees? Student fees will cover all costs of care and supplies, additional fees may be necessary for field trips or events.
- Do you provide any support for low income families? We are offering limited CCAP enrollment, and offer many different discounts for families to take part in.
- Do you offer payment options?
Nutrition
- Do you provide lunch or snacks for the children?
- We provide a nutritional morning and afternoon snack. Lunch is brought from home daily. We are very conscious about health and wellness, which is why our meals are well balanced and follow nutritional MyPlate guidelines. This replaces the older food pyramid guidelines. Our meals also comply with state recommended guidelines. Children sit together with teachers and friends at mealtime and when finished go outside for exercise and play.
