The Two's Program is tailored for children aged 24 to 36 months and aims to create a learning environment centered around play while also introducing them to science, art, music, and language. During this stage, toddlers are exploring their independence, learning through their senses, as well as learning how to listen to others. Our objective is to harness a toddler's innate curiosity to show them that learning can be an enjoyable experience.
In this class, we strike a healthy balance by engaging in interactive play, artistic activities, and brief educational concepts. Daily practice of life skills like sharing, good manners, and assisting with cleanup is emphasized. Outdoor picnics on our playground, extended playtime, and water splash-play with our science tables are all part of their physical activities.
• Physical Development encompasses interactions with the environment, the development of coordination through walking and running, fine motor skills, and promoting healthy growth.
• Social Development involves fostering communication, providing experiences and exposure to new ideas, encouraging cooperative play, building friendships, and instilling empathy.
• Emotional Development focuses on building relationships with adults, establishing a sense of self in relation to others, fostering pride in their abilities, promoting appropriate expression of emotions (including more complex feelings), and developing emotional and impulse control.
• Language and Literacy Development includes the ability to comprehend complex ideas and instructions, expanding their vocabulary, and cultivating an interest in books (including independent use).
• Cognitive Development encompasses understanding cause and effect, grasping spatial relationships, imitation, comprehending numbers and quantities, developing the ability to group, sort, and connect, and establishing routines.
• Approaches to Learning involve problem-solving skills, the capacity to store and retrieve information, and maintaining attention.
• Most importantly, we prioritize fun! While learning standards are essential, children learn best when creating memories and through enjoyment.
